  • Application data (assessment responses, scores, interviews, documents you provide).

  • Technical data (IP address, browser, device type, focus/anti-cheat signals during online tests).

Your data is used to:

  • Manage your application to the Skybound Academy.

  • Provide you with feedback and updates.

  • Determine eligibility for fully funded training and finance via our partner StepEx.

  • Improve and monitor the fairness and security of our selection process.

3. Who We Share Data With

We only share your data with:

  • StepEx (our FCA-regulated finance partner) for funding eligibility checks.

  • Testing platforms (e.g., ClassMarker) used to deliver assessments securely.

  • Regulatory bodies if legally required.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. How We Protect Your Data

  • Data is stored securely with access restricted to authorised Skybound staff and partners.

  • All processing complies with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Ask us to correct or update your data.

  • Request deletion of your data (unless required for legal/regulatory reasons).

We retain applicant data for up to 3 years for regulatory, audit, and funding compliance purposes. After this period, data is securely deleted.

Skybound Funding is the trading name of Skybound Funding Ltd (Company No. 16648547), registered in the UK at Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, England, M2 3WQ

All funding agreements are provided by StepEx Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 922751). Skybound Funding facilitates introductions to StepEx and, where a cadet is approved, arranges payment of training fees to the selected Approved Training Organisation from Skybound’s own funding sources.

 

Skybound does not provide regulated credit agreements; any Future Earnings Agreement (FEA) is entered into solely between the applicant and StepEx Ltd, subject to StepEx’s terms and approval process.
